Audi R8 V10

With its state-of-the-art 5.2-litre engine developing 386 kW at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 530 Nm at 6,500 rpm, the new Audi R8 V10 delivers colossal performance. It rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The sequentially shifting R tronic gearbox reaches 200 km/h in another 8.1 seconds. Even then its propulsive power hardly lessens: it’s sufficient to reach a top speed of 316 km/h.

The Audi R8 V10 is the result of cumulative know-how from Audi’s string of Le Mans victories. Its naturally aspirated engine combines racing technology such as dry sump lubrication with direct injection according to the FSI principle developed by Audi. This in turn contributes to superior performance and improves fuel economy. The Audi R8 V10 with R tronic gets by on an average of 13.7 litres per 100 km.

With superior Audi technologies such as quattro® all-wheel drive, the lightweight aluminum body and its striking design, the Audi R8 V10 takes pole position against the competition. Its wide, full shape seems to hug the road. The brawny proportions and prominent wheel wells underscore its potential. The high-precision styling of the lines and the elegant curve of the roof are complemented by a continuous contour that optically connects the front, the wheel wells, the sides and the rear. Located well forward, the cab visually expresses the mid-engine design.

A very distinctive highlight of the Audi R8 V10 is the all-LED headlights as standard equipment. Audi is the world’s first automaker to use LEDs for the high beam, low beam, daytime running lights, and turn signals. With a colour temperature of 6,000 Kelvin the LED light closely resembles daylight, which is less tiring to the eyes in night driving.

The Audi R8 V10 combines its colossal performance with a generous complement of standard equipment. Highlights include heatable seat covers made of Fine Nappa leather, a driver information system, Satellite Navigation with colour screen and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The list of options include Audi ceramic brakes with ultra durable brake discs made from carbon fibre reinforced ceramic material and eight-piston fixed callipers at the front, the Audi advanced parking system with its integrated rear-view camera and numerous Audi exclusive customization options.

But finally, you have to get into an Audi R8 V10 to experience its highly concentrated racing atmosphere, its aesthetic appeal and its immense power that can only be described as maximum Audi.
